Wanda Sue Briggs

Wanda S. Briggs, 76, Atchison, Kansas, passed away, Friday, May 31, 2024, at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri.

A visitation with the family will be Friday, June 14th from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Mall Towers (103 South 7th Street; Atchison, KS). Final arrangements have been entrusted to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.

Wanda was born October 5, 1947, in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Archie and Mary (Caliup) Ridings. She attended school in St. Joseph, graduating from Central High School in 1965. She later attended Hillyard Technical School for nursing and went on to work in the nursing field.

She and Israel A. Briggs were united in marriage on July 22, 1988, in St. Joseph, Missouri. Mr. Briggs preceded her in death on April 6, 2017.

Survivors include children, James Briggs, Gordon Briggs, Janel Clay Bills, Danelle Briggs, and a daughter-in-law, MoaDonna Weston, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a son Lorne Weston.
