Vickie Jo Higley, 55, Atchison, Kansas died unexpectedly Sunday, December 1, 2013 at her home.
The body has been cremated. Memorial services will be Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at New Life Assembly of God Church with Pastor Kenneth Watkins officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to help defray funeral expenses and may be left in care of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with whom the final arrangements have been entrusted.
Vickie was born April 23, 1958 in Rosedale, Kansas the daughter of Robert and Shirley Givens Denny. She attended schools in Rosedale, Kansas.
She and Charles William Higley were united in marriage. Mr. Higley preceded her in death.
Vickie, a cosmetologist, formerly served as a hairdresser in Leavenworth, Kansas until she was unable to continue working due to health reasons.
Survivors include two daughters, Erica M. Jones and companion, Billy Stewart, Atchison, KS, Brandi Henchek and companion, Paul Gallagher, Oskaloosa, KS, nine grandchildren a brother, Steven Denny, and four sisters, Shirley Taylor, Teresa Given, Peggy Collie, and Deborah Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barbara Silvey and a brother, Robert Denny, Jr.
