Thomas M. Busenbarrick, 54, St. Joseph, Missouri died Friday, May 10, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, Missouri.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home, Atchison, Kansas with Rev. Gerard Senecal, OSB officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Atchison, Kansas. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, May 14th from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Atchison Catholic School, Maur Hill-Mount Academy or American Heart Association and may be left in care of the funeral home.
Thomas was born November 2, 1958 in Atchison, Kansas the son of Leo M. and Ruth Hinson Busenbarrick. He attended Sacred Heart and St. Benedict's Elementary Schools, Maur Hill Prep School and Atchison High School.
He moved to St. Joseph, Missouri in 1982 and was employed with Omni Quip Snorkel Parts Worldwide until becoming disabled due to health conditions in 2002.
He enjoyed camping and fishing, restoration and remodeling properties but his greatest love was under water exploration of caves called spelunking.
Survivors include a brother, Brian (Heidi) Busenbarrick, Atchison, KS, two sisters, Judith L. (Richard) Brummel, Garnett, KS, Jody L. (Gordon) Brown, Horton, KS, step-mother Leona M. Busenbarrick, Atchison, KS and numerous nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father Leo M. Busenbarrick, his mother, Ruth Hinson Busenbarrick, a son, Steven Michael Busenbarrick and two brothers, Frank P. Busenbarrick and Leo M. Busenbarrick, Jr.
