Terry E. Fitzpatrick, 54, Atchison, Kansas, died Monday, September 16, 2013, at his residence.
Graveside services will be at a later date in the Oak Hill Cemetery. The body has been cremated under the direction of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.
Terry was born August 21, 1959, in Atchison, Kansas. The son of Charles Edward and Alice Bernice McNames Fitzpatrick. He graduated from Atchison High School. Following graduation he attended Vo-Tech.
Terry was employed as a newspaper deliverer for the St. Joseph News-Press.
He had many passions in life including fishing, mushroom hunting and cooking. Terry was an avid dart player, participating in various dart leagues over the years. He loved reading especially science fiction novels. He was very fond of his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include a sister Michelle Fitzpatrick, Atchison, KS, a brother Daniel Lee Fitzpatrick, Olathe, KS, three step-sisters Vickie Minhas, Atchison, KS, Ruth Tull, Atchison, KS, DeAnna Hartquist, Easton, KS, a step-brother Charles R. Mercer, step-father, Charles Mercer, Sr., and an uncle Earl McNames, Nortonville, KS, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
