Silas C. Cluke, II, 54, Atchison, Kansas died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Atchison Hospital.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 26, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Kelley officiating. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the church. Interment will be Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at 1:30 P.M. at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family and may be left in care of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home, which has been entrusted with the final arrangements. Silas was born February 20, 1958, in Atchison, Kansas, the son of Edwin I. and Grace E. Allen Cluke. He attended Martin East and Martin West schools before graduating from Atchison High School in 1976.

He and the former Raye Ann Stevens were united in marriage in 1985 in Atchison, Kansas.

Following his graduation from Atchison High School, Silas enlisted in the United States Navy on August 4, 1976 serving until his honorable discharge on August 1, 1980.

Silas was employed at the Atchison Youth Center as a Youth Service Specialist for 32 years.

He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, and a member of the young adult church choir.

He enjoyed playing ball, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed listening to music on his computer and playing the saxophone.

Survivors include his wife, Raye Ann Cluke, Atchison, KS his mother, Grace E. Cluke, Atchison, KS, two sons Vincent M. Cluke, Chicago, IL, Stephan (Jaime) Cluke, Bloomington, MN, a brother, Edwin L. (Toni) Cluke, Sr., Atchison, KS, two sisters, Gabriela Oliver, Burlington, N.J., Karen (Cravon) Slade Burlington, N.C., a grandchild, Maddox Cluke, Chicago, IL, three aunts and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, four sisters, Jacqueline Allen, Sonja Allen, Cassandra Allen, Lori Tracine Cluke, and a brother Alonzo Allen.
