Sherry Jane (Brox) Scott, affectionately known as "Sug" passed away on December 11, 2022, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born on August 14, 1941, in Atchison, KS, the daughter of John A. Brox and Betty Jane (Dilgert) Brox. She attended St. Benedict's, Mount St. Scholastica and was a graduate of Atchison High School.
In her early years, she was a clerk at the Hotel Atchison and assisted with bookkeeping for her father's company, Brox for Rocks. Her journey took her to Weeping Water, NE, where she served as a clerk and an assistant store manager at a local grocery store. Sherry's entrepreneurial drive led her to own and operate PJ's Pub in Atchison. She later moved to Henderson, NV, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant at a skilled nursing facility until her retirement.
Sherry's hobbies included dancing, sewing, and working crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She enjoyed maintaining her home and occasionally indulging in a trip to the casino to play the slots machines, which she described as "more fun."
Sherry's life was a tapestry of everchanging tides. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with all who knew her.
Survivors include her children, Richard J. (Robin) Christensen, Cave Creek, AZ, Betty G. Hutson, Henderson, NV, Bobbi J. Davis, Henderson, NV, and Terrance W. (Carol) Brown, Cabot, AR, a niece Pamela A. (Brox) Kuhnert, Atchison, KS, a nephew, Terry A. Brox Jr., Atchison, KS, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Sherry was preceded in death by her Mother, Father and Brother Terry A. Brox.
