Sherre D. Hildman

Sherre D. Hildman, 67, Atchison, Kansas, died peacefully, at her home surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, March 18, 2024.

No services are scheduled at this time. Interment will be at a later date at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Rushville, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and left in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.

Sherre was born December 21, 1956, the daughter of Norman and Dorothy (Spinner) Ellis. She attended school in Rushville and graduated from DeKalb High School. She later graduated from Missouri Western State College, with an accounting degree.

She and Michael P. Hildman were married August 20, 1976, at the Rushville Christian Church.

Sherre was employed with Car City Chrysler for over 22 years serving as a controller. She was active in Girl Scouts when her daughters were young. Sherre enjoyed going to the casino and watching her Chiefs. She had a deep love for spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Michael Hildman, three daughters, Angela Hildman, Allison Hildman, Alaina Hildman, three grandchildren, Joey (Robert) Gardner, McKenzie Button-Hildman, Alliyah Turpin, a step-brother, Kully Ellis, Riverside, MO, a sister, Sid (Jay) Jones, Atchison, KS and several nieces, nephews and in-laws.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Kim.
