Sharon D. Ferris, 75, Atchison, Kansas, died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at her residence.
A private family graveside will be held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Sharon was born April 15, 1937, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Edith Hinson Johnston. She attended St. Patrick's Catholic School.
She and Walter Hayes were married and later divorced. She and Joe Calloway were married and later divorced. She and Jonny Ferris were married Mr. Ferris preceded her in death 1985. She and Leo Cummings were married and later divorced.
Sharon enjoyed sewing as she made beautiful clothes. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, but she was truly passionate about her dogs as they were her babies.
Survivors include two brothers, Randy Johnston, Atchison, KS, Ronnie Johnston, and sister, Eleanor Lackland, Horton, KS, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant son Walter Wayne Hayes, Jr., three brothers, Charles Johnston, Daryl Johnston, Larry Johnston, and three sisters Sandra Shaw, Joyce Harvey, Suzzette Foster, and Gail Blanc.
