Samuel "Sammy" Pierce

February 24, 1962 — October 6, 2014

"How 'bout those Chiefs?" That was Sammy's favorite line this time of year, whether the Chiefs were winning or losing. Sammy was an avid fan, even when it was embarrassing to be one. This year his team is doing okay but he will miss the rest of the season. On Monday, October 6, 2014, Sammy died as a result of a work related fall at the age of 52.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. with a visitation one hour prior to services at Riverbend Bible Church, 1145 Commercial Street, with Pastor Bob Flack officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to help with final expenses and may be left in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home, with whom the final arrangements have been entrusted.
