Mrs. Ruth C. Morrow, 95, Rushville, Missouri died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Atchison Senior Village Nursing Center.

Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, November 16, 2012 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Benedict's Church with Rev. Gerard Senecal, OSB as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A parish rosary will be recited on Thursday, November 15th at 7:00 P.M. in the chapel of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8:30 P.M. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Benedict's Church and may be left in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.arensbergpruett.com.

Ruth was born July 13, 1917 in Winthrop, Missouri the daughter of John and Anna O'Neil Connor. She graduated from Mt. Saint Scholastica Academy and Mt. Saint Scholastica College receiving a master's degree in library science.

Ruth served as an elementary teacher in a one room school for several years and then as a teacher for Rushville Elementary School, Rushville, Missouri for 35 years for second grade students.

She and Robert G. Morrow were united in marriage on July 18, 1936 at St. Benedict's Church, Atchison, Kansas. Mr. Morrow preceded her in death on June 1, 1990.

She was a devout and active member of St. Benedict's Church, Atchison Junior Guild, Book Club, Retired Missouri Teacher's Association, a benefactor and member of the Performing Arts. In her free time she enjoyed reading and playing the piano.

Ruth is survived by a daughter, Ruth A. (Jerry) Thornton, St. Joseph, MO, three sons, Rober Jon (Eula) Morrow, Rushville, MO, James (Kathy) Morrow, Kansas City, MO, Don (Joyce) Morrow, Wylie, TX, nine grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.

Ruth was predeceased by a sister, Gertrude Connor, a brother, Kenneth Connor and a step grandchild.
