Russell "Russ" Del Greenwood

Russell Del Greenwood, 54, Atchison, Kansas died Friday, September 17, 2021.

Mr. Greenwood has been cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.  Private burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.  The Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home has been entrusted with cremation care and final arrangements.

Russell was born February 15, 1967 in Dekalb, Illinois the son of Brad and Ree Gregory Greenwood.  He graduated from Atchison high school in 1985 and earned certification in electronics from North Central Kansas Technical and Kaw Area Vocational Technical School in Topeka, Kansa in 1989.  Russ's first career was working for cable/internet companies in northeast Kansas for ten years, then in Texas and California for ten years. Russell was known for his caring smile, his electronics skills, truck restorations, and helping others.

Russ and Brenda Pennington were united in marriage on November 23, 2019 after rekindling their junior high crushes.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Greenwood of the couple's home in Atchison, KS; his children, Hunter and Hannah Greenwood, Ft. Worth, TX; parents, Brad and Ree Greenwood, Atchison, KS; sister, Heather (Carl) Wilk, Leavenworth, KS.

Russ was preceded in death by his children's mother, Stephanie Beam Greenwood of Ft. Worth, TX.
