Rosemary Schmelzle

Rosemary Schmelzle, 76, Atchison, Kansas died Friday, April 23, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital on the Plaza, Kansas City, Missouri.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating.  Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M. at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.

Rosemary was born May 21, 1944 in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Jacob and Rose (Molini) Hopple.   She attended Atchison Public Schools graduating from Atchison High School.

Rosemary was a waitress for many years for Pete's Steakhouse and Paolucci's Restaurant.  In her spare time she enjoyed gardening; arts and crafts; fishing and was formerly on the Ladies Bowling League.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three sons, Chris Schmelzle, St. Joseph, MO; John E. Schmelzle, Seneca, KS; Jeremy Ryan Schmelzle, Atchison, KS; step son, Luke Schmelzle, Ashland, OR; two daughters, Rebecca Whaley, St. Joseph, MO; Jennifer Schmelzle, Sussex Court Spring, TX; step daughter, Jackie Schmelzle, Seneca, KS; and three grandchildren.
