Rosa Lee Stryker, 67, of Palmetto, FL, entered her Heavenly home on September 15, 2017 after a short, but valiant fight with cancer.
Memorial services will be in Atchison, Kansas on October 21, 2017 at Oak Hill Cemetery at 11:00 A.M.
Rosa Lee Bowen was born on November 8, 1949 in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Alvin Talbert and LaMarne (Bryan) Bowen McNett.
Rosie was all about family. Keeping in touch with everyone from afar. She wanted to stay involved in all family affairs. She was a very compassionate woman, it was no wonder that she became a nurse, mainly caring for the elderly who she adored and cared for as if family.
In her youth, Rosie was raised in the Salvation Army Church, but later in life, she decided to join the Catholic faith. She was a habitual fisherwoman ceaselessly with her kids on the creeks, ponds, or lakes. In addition, Rosie was an avid softball player, always playing the catcher, a position she loved. She was a Chief's and Royal's fan, never forgetting where she came from. She is loved and will be missed by so many.
Survived by her devoted husband, Stephen; three children, Gerald Harris (Carrie), Tamara Falvella (Joe), both of Palmetto, FL. And Sandra Booker (Greg) of Southaven, MS; three step-children, Tim (Teri) and Brian (Jennifer) Stryker and Kimberly Stryker Lind (Marc); five brothers, Kenny (Jackie); Frank (Sue); Harold "Buzzy"; and Lyle, all of Atchison,KS, and Michael (Janet) of Horton, KS; seven sisters, Frances McFeeters of Van Buren, AR; Edith Billings of Bremerton, WA; Mary Alice Kopp (Jim) of Alton, IL; Lucy Warner, Carolyn Muncie (Bud), Valerie Bowen and Ret. Lt. Col. Pamela Weishaar, all of Atchison, KS; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and numerous family including nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and LaMarne Bowen McNett and two brothers, Gerald Lee and Alvin Talbert Bowen, Jr. and one great grandson.
