Ronnie Dean Johnston, 36, Atchison, Kansas died Monday, July 30, 2012 at his residence.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 6, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Rev. Gerard Senecal, OSB officiating. The body will be cremated following the services with burial of the ashes at a later date. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or Kansas Fish and Wild Game and may be left in care of the funeral home. Ronnie was born July 30, 1976 in Atchison, Kansas the son of Deborah Ann Watowa. He attended elementary school in Topeka, Kansas then moved to Belton, Missouri where he graduated from Belton High School.

He and Crystal Cable were united in marriage in 1999 in Belton, Missouri and later divorced. On September 4, 2010, he and Martha C. Miller were united in marriage in Atchison, Kansas.

Ronnie was employed with the Northwest Pipe Company, Atchison, Kansas for the past eight years as a saw operator. Formerly he had been employed with Servaes Quarry and Cargill Company both of Atchison, Kansas and previously done quarry work in the Cleveland, Missouri area.

Ronnie dearly enjoyed the time he spent with his son and grandchildren and when he could escape and go deer hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Martha C. Johnston, Atchison, KS, a son Mason Johnston, Belton, MO, his mother and step-father, Debbie and Larry Dooley, Atchison, KS, a stepson, Robert Krier, Atchison, KS, two step-daughters, Ruth Krier, Grand Prairie, TX and Melissa Krier, Atchison, KS his maternal grandmother, Rita Watowa, Atchison, KS, step-grandmother, Bernice Dooley, Atchison, KS, and two step-grandchildren, Audrey Pennington, Atchison, KS and Lanceton Pennington, Atchison, KS.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Randy Johnston and Jason Johnston and his maternal grandfather, James Watowa.
