Ronald Lee Hargrove

Ronald Lee Hargrove, age 68, died unexpectedly on December 25, 2023, at his home.

A service to remember Ron's life will be on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, Jan. 7th from 6-8:00 p.m . at the funeral home. Ron will be laid to rest at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Hiawatha, KS. Memorials may be left to the Atchison Humane Society in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.

Ron was born on December 6, 1955, in Severance, KS, the son of the late Glen F. Hargrove and Veva (Blakley) Hargrove. He graduated from ACCHS and began employment at Morrill Grain Elevator. He later began Hargrove Construction building custom homes with his son, until 2008. He spent his last employment tenure with MGP as on operator until his retirement in 2020.

Ron was an outdoorsman; he loved anything and everything involving hunting or fishing. He also enjoyed watching the Chiefs, Jayhawks and Royals any chance he could at "Ron's Bar & Grill with no short order cook" aka his garage! He loved his family, but he really loved his dogs the most, Jake and Kai.

Survivors include his children, Christina Morris (Chris Gilmore); Christopher Hargrove (Christine); a brother, Danny Hargrove (Sharon); five sisters, Tammie Sisk (Mike), Janet Hodges, Cathy Dove (Linda), Marilyn Larson (Bill), Betty Gomez (Ted); seven grandchildren and his many friends.
