Ronald Earl Dorsey, Sr.

Ronald Earl Dorsey, Sr., 69, of Excelsior Springs, MO, died unexpectedly on November 14, 2017 at his home.
Graveside services and interment will be on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Atchison. Final care has been entrusted to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.
Ron was born on July 22, 1948, in Atchison, Kansas the son of John Andrew Dorsey, Sr. and Isabelle Lorene Marshall.
He and the former Debra "Debbie" Schmidt were united in marriage on October 27, 1973 in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Ron loved going to auctions and garage sales and collecting die-cast cars, knives and swords. He adored his three animals, especially his girl Isabelle, who he named after his mother who was an animal lover too.
He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Debbie Dorsey, of the couple's home in Excelsior Springs, MO, three sons, Ronald Earl Dorsey, Jr., San Bernardino, CA, Brian Lee Dorsey, Tucson, AZ, Daniel Wayne Dorsey, Tucson, AZ, two sisters, Mary Sowers, St. Joseph, MO, Dotty Burnett, Parkville, MO, four brothers, Gene Hazlett, St. Joseph, MO, Jim Dorsey, Phoenix, AZ, William "Bill" Dorsey, Atchison, KS, John Andrew Dorsey, II, Atchison, KS, and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Donnie Dorsey and a brother Charles Hazlett.
