Robert W. "Bob" Kane, 55, Atchison, Kansas died in rural Atchison, Kansas.
  
  
  Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, November 21, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick's Church with Rev. Gabriel Landis, OSB as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. A parish rosary will be Sunday, November 20, at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to help defray funeral expenses and may be left in care of the funeral home.
  
  
  Bob was born October 27, 1956, in Winchester, Kansas, the son of Donald E. and Mary M. Zishka Kane. He graduated from Atchison County Community High School. Then went on to obtain his welding certificate from Northeast Kansas Vocational-Technical School, Atchison, in 1975. He worked as a welder/operator for 20 years at Unit Rail Anchor Company in Atchison.
  
  
  He was a member of St. Patrick's Church. Bob enjoyed many things in life NASCAR, hunting and fishing, was an avid sports enthusiast especially favoring the Chiefs, drag racing, NHRA (National Hotrod Association) and enjoyed many summers at Sturgis. Bob enjoyed cooking, grilling and gathering with his friends at local establishments.
  
  
  Robert is survived by his parents, Bud and Maggie Kane, Atchison, KS, four brothers, Randy (Carolyn) Kane, Atchison, KS, Alan Kane, Weston, MO, William (Cindy) Kane, Atchison, KS, Vincent Kane, Atchison, KS, two sisters, Janet (Ronald) DePinto, Littleton, CO, Joanie (Robert) McGuire, Atchison, KS, and two nephews, Travis McGuire and Kyle McGuire.
