Rachel K. Green

Rachel K. Green, 50, Atchison, Kansas died Wednesday, October 8, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by family and loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. A visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Achievement Services and may be left in care of the funeral home. Final care entrusted to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.

Rachel was born August 21, 1974, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Richard and Judy (Cochran) Green. She attended public school in Atchison, Oskaloosa and Topeka.

She attended the Special Olympics participating in bowling and enjoyed going to the YMCA. Rachel had a passion for music, singing in her younger years and listening as she grew older. She enjoyed collecting stuffed animals and flipping through magazines. She loved her mother's cookies and a cold Pepsi. In her youth she enjoyed hiking and camping during trips to Colorado. Rachel cherished her time at Achievement Services, from the consumers to the staff they were all her extended family.

Survivors include her mother, Judy, Atchison, KS, two brothers, Jeff Green, Atchison, KS; Abraham Green, Lakeside, OR; a sister, Rebekah Green, Atchison, KS, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Green, grandparents, William R. and Lillian Cochran, her aunts; Mary VanDyke, Joyce Wininger, Mona Cantrell, and an Uncle Glen Cochran.
