Phillip Lee Reynolds, 51, Atchison, Kansas died unexpectedly Sunday, March 25, 2012 in Topeka, Kansas.
Funeral Services will be Friday, March 30, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Achievement Services and may be left in care of the funeral home.
Phil was born January 27, 1961, in Wyandotte County, Kansas, to Joseph and Mary Katherine Fike Reynolds. He lived at Lake Mary Center in Paola, Kansas, for five years before moving to Parsons State Hospital. Phil came to Atchison in 1993, residing with his Achievement Services family since that time.
Phil was an outgoing person, greeting all he met with a big smile and a friendly "Hi, how are you". He enjoyed the Special Olympics Bowling, as he wore his medals with pride. He also enjoyed Integrated Softball, and attending local baseball games.
Survivors include a sister, Faith Reeder, Overland Park, KS, a brother, Michael Reynolds, Independence, MO, along with housemates, Billy Maddox, David Caldwell, Eric Elias, Shrome Genosky, and Trenton Ross, longtime staff members and friends, George Downing, Shelmon Stone, Karen McGee, and Margie Boldridge-Barnett, as well as all of Phil's Achievement Services Family.
