John Philip “Phil” Boos, age 84, of Atchison, KS, passed peacefully on July 16, 2026, with his family at his side.
Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church in Atchison with Rev. Jeremy Heppler, OSB as celebrant. A rosary will be on Thursday July 23rd at 6:00 PM with visitation to follow until 8:00 PM at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery and a lunch will follow in the lower level of St. Joseph Church. Memorials are suggested to Maur Hill-Mt. Academy or St. Benedict’s Abbey in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. The funeral livestream may be found under the obituary text at www.arensbergpruett.com.
