Patsy J. Thornton, 77, Atchison, Kansas died Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Village Villa Nursing Center, Nortonville, Kansas.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012, at 3:30 P.M. in the chapel of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Lovelace, officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Atchison, Kansas.
Patsy was born May 6, 1935, in Pratt, Kansas, the daughter of Dick & Valaria Kemp Harvey. She attended school in Pratt, Kansas. She moved to Atchison, Kansas in 1965.
She was a member of Church of the Nazarene in Atchison.
Survivors include two daughters, Georgetta McDonald, Wichita, KS, Rexanna Harvey, Wichita, KS, four sons, Ronald Thornton, Atchison, KS, Mitchell, Thornton, St. Joseph, MO, Jed Thornton, Paola, KS, Dale Thornton, Trenton, MO, a sister, Shirley Harvey, New Mexico, sixteen grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
