Patricia Betts

Patricia Betts, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri, on January 20, 2026, at the age of 73. In her final moments, Patricia was surrounded by some of her favorite nurses, her daughter, and her granddaughter. Born on July 27, 1952, in Globe, Arizona, Patricia was a proud graduate of Globe High School.

Throughout her career, Patricia left a lasting impression on those around her. She dedicated over a decade of her life to Paolucci's Restaurant from 1983 to 1995. Following her time there, she transitioned to the Golden Eagle Casino, where she served as a supervisor until her retirement in 2013. She married James "Jim" Betts on May 18, 1989; he preceded her in death on March 11, 2012. 

Patricia was a woman of many interests, but nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her grandchildren, Taygen (Kaelob) Jones and Chase Grippin. As a grandmother, she cherished every moment, finding immense happiness in their laughter and milestones. Family was the cornerstone of her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Sonya (Tim) Pruett; her son, Troy Leger; her two grandchildren, Taygan (Kaelob) Jones and Chase Grippin; her two brothers, Paul Ramos and Tony Ramos; and her sister, Cindy Nosie. They will forever remember her love, strength, and unwavering support.

Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Edna (Harris) Ramos; her husband, Jim; her son, Joe Leger; her sister, Rita Tapia; and her best friends, Don Bramble and Nancy Shelton. Their memories will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Cremation care has been provided by the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home and a celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date.
