Michelle Quinlan

August 13, 1960 — April 13, 2026

Atchison

Michelle (Schuler) Quinlan, passed away on April 13, 2026, at the Amberwell Atchison Hospital. Born on August 13, 1960, she is the daughter of Bernard "Clair" Schuler and Beverly (Pierce) Schuler.

A 1978 graduate of Mount St. Scholastica Academy, Michelle devoted much of her working years as a waitress and in various factories throughout Atchison.

Michelle delighted in babysitting and playing with her grandchildren, moments that brought light and laughter to her days. She enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint and found companionship and comfort in her two dogs, who were cherished members of her family.

Michelle loved to talk—often filling conversations with complaints—but those who knew her understood that beneath this was a woman who cared deeply and was always ready to lend a listening ear to her loved ones.

She leaves behind her mother, Bev Schuler; her children Michelle (Scott) Vessar, Stephanie Harris, and Damon (Mildred) Reynolds; her stepson, Michael Quinlan; and five grandchildren: Jonathan, Creede, Bryce, Truett, and Paisley. The family also includes a great-granddaughter, Dalias, who was a source of joy for Michelle. She is further survived by two brothers, Wade Schuler and Jeff Schuler.

Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Bernard "Clair" Schuler; her husband, Thomas Quinlan; and her nephew, Shawn Schuler.

Cremation care has been provided by the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home and a private family celebration of life will be held. Memorials may be left to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home where a register book is available for friends and family to sign.
