Michael E. Bewley

Michael Eugene Bewley, age 71, of Atchison, Kansas, died Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at his home.

Cremation care has been entrusted to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home and private family services will be held. He will be laid to rest in the Trinity Episcopal Gardens.

Mike was born on November 22, 1951, in Atchison, Kansas, the son of the late Luther J. Bewley and Betty (Madison) Bewley. He attended public schools in Atchison through high school.

He was a heavy equipment mechanic for Bromley Quarry for many years and worked at Servaes Quarry.

Mike loved anything with horsepower.  He was an avid fan of motor sports, rebuilding classic cars and riding motorcycles.  While he didn't travel much, he made frequent trips to Knoxville Speedway for Knoxville Nationals, as sprint cars were his favorite type of race car.

Survivors include his wife, Annetta; four children, Michael J. (Jenny), Lisa (Beau) Henderson, Brandi (Bruce) Finley, Micha (Colby) Dixon; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
