Mary Jane Vogt, 66, Atchison, Kansas died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Atchison Medicalodge Nursing Center.

Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Benedict's Church with Rev. Gerard Senecal, OSB as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday, March 18th from 6:30 until 8:00 P.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with a recitation of the rosary at 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Benedict's Church, Benedictine Sisters or St. Benedict's Abbey and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Mary Jane was born February 10, 1947 in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Robert A. and Irene F. Barry Vogt. She attended and graduated from St. Benedict's Elementary School and Mt. Saint Scholastica Academy. She then attended and graduated from Draughn's Business School in Kansas City, Missouri.

Mary Jane was employed as an accountant with Bernstein and Rein Advertising Company in Kansas City for thirty years until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Benedict's Church where she served as an adorer for eucharistic adoration. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, bowling and attending sporting activities in which her nieces and nephews participated. She followed the Chiefs football and especially rooted for her Kansas City Royals.

Survivors include two sisters, Shirley Cavanaugh, Atchison, KS, Judy (Ed) Egnatic, Camdenton, MO, two brothers, William R. (Gina) Vogt, Mission, KS, Richard Vogt, Mission, KS and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Theresa Catherine Vogt.
