Mary Jane Corkins, 73, Atchison, Kansas died Monday, April 11, 2016 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha, Kansas.
Graveside services will be Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A. M. at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
Mary was born January 15, 1943 in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of William and Betty June Mulvaney Turner. She attended Atchison Public Elementary Schools and Mt. Saint Scholastica Academy.
Mary Jane was a homemaker to her husband and children. She enjoyed playing bingo, reading, socializing with friends and most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include two son, Allen Merritt, Atchison, KS, John Corkins, Lansing, KS, two daughters, Laura (Jerry) Koopman, Falls City, NE, Natalie Whimley, Lansing, KS, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a sister, Leigh Fortier, Los Angeles, CA.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Mercer and Randy Mercer.
