Margaret A. Maugh, 99, St. Joseph, Missouri formerly of Atchison, Kansas died Wednesday August 26, 2015 in St. Joseph.
Memorial services will be Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Joseph North Congregation of Jehovah's Witness, 1901 Grand Avenue, St. Joseph, Missouri. Private burial of the cremated remains will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Atchison, Kansas. The Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home, Atchison, Kansas has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
Margaret was born October 10, 1915 in Davies County Missouri near Gallatin, Missouri the daughter of Zeph Sylvester Gallamore and Edna Dell Ayers Gallamore. She attended and graduated from high school in Altamont, Missouri.
She and Norman Maugh were united in marriage on June 5, 1959 at First Christian Church, Atchison, Kansas. Mr. Maugh preceded her in death on December 15, 1997.
Margaret and her husband Norman owned and operated the former M & C Floral Shop and Greenhouse Company on North Third Street in Atchison for many years until their retirement.
Margaret was a member of the St. Joseph North Congregation of Jehovah's Witness, St. Joseph, Missouri. She was a former member of the Atchison Zonta Club, American Legion Auxiliary and the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Post #1175. She was an avid bowler for many years while residing in Atchison, Kansas.
Margaret is survived by two brothers, Russell Gallamore, Kansas City, MO, Thomas R. Gallamore, Cameron, MO and many nieces and nephews.
