Lynn Dee Hook, 68, passed away last week doing what he loved. He was hunting on the family farm, always looking for that trophy buck.
Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Pat Clary officiating. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, beginning at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Lynn was born on October 23, 1957, to Charles and Fern Hook of St Joseph, MO. He graduated from Benton High School, St Joseph, MO, in 1976. On July 22, 1989, he married Rhonda Bromley of Atchison, KS. Together they joined their family of four son’s. He worked most of his life at the Foundry in Atchison, KS, and retired from there in 2016.
Lynn loved all sorts of hunting from running coonhounds to duck hunting. He also loved fishing and having horses. He pretty much loved anything to do with the great outdoors. He did a lot of things with his two brothers of the heart, Marlan Hollars and Greg James. He was always a happy man spending time with family and friends.
Lynn is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda, of the home, along with his loyal dogs Mercy and Raven, sons Jason (April) Hook, Dustin (Amber) Hook, David (Jen) Rizer, and Bradley (Laura) Rizer. He is also survived by six grandsons, one granddaughter, and four great-granddaughters, of which he was truly blessed with.
