Loretta E. Sittenauer

Loretta E. Sittenauer, 87, of the St. Patrick's Community south of Atchison, Kansas died Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Atchison Medicalodge Nursing Center.

Graveside Prayer services will be Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Benedict's Elementary School Endowment or St. Patrick's Cemetery Fund and may be left in care of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with whom the final arrangements have been entrusted.

Loretta was born August 16, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of John A. and Helen R. Kopp Geiss.

She and John M. Sittenauer were united in marriage on October 21, 1967 in Kansas City, Missouri. Mr. Sittenauer preceded her in death on July 31, 2008.

Loretta was a homemaker and assisted her husband on their farm in the St. Patrick's Community south of Atchison.

She was a member of St. Benedict Parish and served on the St. Patrick's Altar Society for many years.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, a brother-in-law, Isidor Sittenauer, and a sister-in-law, Carlene Sullivan.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Robert Geiss and four sisters, Mildred Baker; Ruth Cochran Morrissey; Betty Davies and Anna Stebbins.
