Loretta Marie Maendele

Loretta Marie Maendele, 79, Atchison, Kansas died Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Liberty Hospital.

Her family will have a celebration of life service at a later date.  Cremation care has been entrusted to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.

Loretta was born August 2, 1941 in St. Joseph, Missouri the daughter of Kenneth and Pauline Bastil Smith.  She attended schools in Faucett, Missouri.

She was a homemaker and formerly was employed in the housekeeping department of Benedictine College.  In her spare time she enjoyed her dolls, four wheeling, her animals and pencil art coloring.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Stalder, Atchison, KS; three sons, James (Peggy) Stalder, Atchison, KS; Daniel Stalder, Atchison, KS; Robert (Kristy) Maendele, Denton, KS; a brother, Kenneth Smith, St. Joseph, MO; two sisters, Phyllis Smith, Troy, KS; Alberta Carr, Polo, MO; eighteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents.
