Loretta Sharon Jenkins

Loretta S. Jenkins, 82, Atchison, Kansas died Saturday, December 4, 2021 at St. Luke's North Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.

Private family services will be held.

Loretta was born July 3, 1939, in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Naymon and Madge Dudley Ross.  She attended Lincoln Elementary School and Atchison High School.

Loretta received her education as a nurse aide and served both in Atchison, Kansas and Leavenworth, Kansas.

Loretta was baptized into Zion Baptist Church, now known as Shiloh Baptist Church.

Survivors include, eight sons, Stanley (Darlene) Ross, Manhattan, KS; Roger Ross, Sr., Denver, CO; Donald Ross, Los Angeles, CA; Kelvin Ross, Topeka, KS; Warren Jackson, Portland, OR; Ronald (Toni) Jackson, Raeford, NC; Danny Jenkins, Jr., Kansas City, MO; George (Kylie) Ross, Jr., Atchison, KS; two daughters, Lolita (Keith) Jackson, Atchison, KS; Martha Ross, Atlanta, GA; four brothers, Naymon Ross, Jr., Denver, CO; Steve Ross, St. Joseph, MO; George Ross, Sr., Atchison, KS; Gene Ross, Atchison, KS; five sisters, Winifred Hood, St. Joseph, MO; Rosetta Birch, Atchison, KS; Barbara Crittendon, Columbia, MO; Wilma Ross, Denver, CO; Wanda Crittendon, Atchison, KS; sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Loretta was preceded in death by two sons, Vernon Ross and an infant baby Jackson; and a sister, Lillian Barnett.
