Linda A. Lockwood, 62, Atchison, Kansas, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 25, 2016 at her home.
As per the wishes of Linda, her body has been cremated and there will be no formal services or visitation. Memorial contributions are suggested to New Life Assembly of God Church or Second Christian Church and may be left in care of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with whom the final arrangements have been entrusted.
Linda was born July 22, 1953 in Muscotah, Kansas the daughter of Richard and Mildred Wheeler Lockwood. She attended Muscotah Grade School, graduated from Atchison County High School in Effingham, Kansas and School of the Ozarks, Branson, Missouri.
Linda worked for Rockwell Corporation for over thirty years as a data entry operator and later as a payroll clerk until her retirement.
She attended both New Life Assembly of God Church and Second Christian Church in Atchison. She studied the Bible and Christian literature, and enjoyed Christian music. In her spare time she enjoyed tending her flowers, watching Butterflies, crocheting and spending time with family and friends and her pet cats.
Linda is survived by two brothers, Charles Lockwood, Trimble, MO, Larry Lockwood, Huron, KS, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and an uncle Berney Lockwood.
