Leroy "Lee" L. Gillaspie

Leroy L. "Lee" Gillaspie, 85, longtime Atchison Barber, died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Mosaic Life Care, in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Mr. Gillaspie has been cremated and per his wishes no services will be held. Interment of the cremated remains will be at a later date in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
Lee was born October 6, 1929, in Goff, Kansas, the son of Ben and Dolly Massey Gillaspie.
He and Elisha Ramirez were united in marriage on April 26, 1975, in Atchison, Kansas. Mrs. Gillaspie preceded him in death on October 26, 1995.
Lee served in the United States Army from June 1947, until his honorable discharge in June 1952.
He moved to Atchison in 1957 and served the community as a longtime barber.
