Leah-Rae Cox

Leah-Rae Cox, 87, Atchison, Kansas Died Friday, May 26, 2023 at her residence.

Graveside services will be Monday June 12, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy Heppler officiating.

Leah was born April 5, 1936 in Oakland, Nebraska the daughter of Warren E. and Catherine Schoenfeldt Carlson.  She attended and graduated from Mount St. Scholastica Academy in Atchison.

Leah worked at J. G. Decorating and then as an executive secretary for many years at L. F. M. Corporation then Rockwell International Corporation and then Bradken Corporation for more than fifty years in Atchison, Kansas.

She and Carl Leon Cox were united in marriage in Atchison, Kansas.  Mr. Cox preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Kim Ruhnke of Atchison, KS. And one grandchild, Zachary Ruhnke, Atchison, KS. And two great grandchildren, Brayden Ruhnke and Emma Ruhnke, both of Atchison, KS.
