Larry G. Mccray

Larry McCray, 82, St. Joseph, Missouri, died Thursday, January 18, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A visitation with the family will be Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date at Old Huron Cemetery. Memorials may be left to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Cremation care entrusted to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.

Larry was born August 26, 1941, in Atchison, Kansas, the son of Jesse D. and Gladys (Christie) McCray. He attended school in Atchison graduating from Atchison High School.

He and Linda Behler were married April 20, 1963, at the First Christian Church in Atchison, Kansas.

Larry was employed with Atchison Casting for over 37 years until his retirement. He enjoyed his dog, cars and watching the Royals and the Chiefs.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years Linda; a son, James (Beth) McCray, St. Joseph, MO; a daughter, Donna Burnett, St. Joseph, MO; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Paul McCray; and a son-in-law, Tony Burnett.
