Katie M. Winans-Smith

Katie M. Winans-Smith, 38, Atchison, Kansas, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 21, 2024, at her residence.

Katie was born November 17, 1985, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the daughter of Brian L. Winans-Smith and Velora "Jeannie" Matt.

As a child she enjoyed hunting and fishing. Katie was a sports fan and loved watching the Kansas City Chiefs. Above all else she loved her children and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Danikqua Thomas, Rodney Kennerly, Jr., Jayden Kennerly, Ty'Lee Thomas, Ta'Vion Thomas, her father Brian Winans-Smith, her mother, Velora Matt, and her sisters, Crystal Smith, April Robinson, Heidi Smith and two brothers, Frankie James Stiffarm and Jimmy Rae Stiffarm.
