Katherine L. Seals, 56, Atchison, Kansas died unexpectedly Monday March 30, 2015 at her residence.
A memorial service will be Monday, April 6, 2015, at 7:00 P.M. in the chapel of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be, from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date in the Lancaster Cemetery, Lancaster, Kansas. Katherine was born July 13, 1958, in Glendale, California. She was adopted in Hutchinson, Kansas, by William E. and Gladies M. Sternsdorff Theurer, after moving to northeast Kansas she was raised on the farm and developed a real passion for animals. She graduated from Horton High School. Later she attended Vo-Tech in Atchison earning her LPN.
She was employed for many years in nursing homes as an LPN.
Katherine was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Lancaster.
Survivors include her mother, Gladies Theurer, Atchison, KS, son, James Michael Spence, Meade, OK, daughter, Natasha Griffis, Brooksville, FL, brother, Clinton Theurer, Atchison, KS, and four grandchildren, Devin, William, Olivia, and Montana.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Theurer and a brother Barry Theurer.
