Juanita E. White

Juanita E. White, 95, a resident of Atchison, Kansas, entered into eternity on January 3, 2018.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 9:00-10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Round Prairie Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Juanita White Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Juanita was born on March 14, 1922 in Elizabethton, Tennessee the daughter of Dave and Minnie Ellis. She grew up in Elizabethton and attended Kingberg schools and Kingberg Free Will Baptist Church.

She married Robert White in 1952. Mr. White preceded her in death on May 6, 1993. She lived in Butler, Tennessee until moving to Dekalb, Missouri in 1959 and has resided in Atchison since 1961.

Juanita was employed with the USD 409 in the food service for twenty-two years before retiring in 1985. She also cleaned homes for several local residents. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going out to eat, listening to country music, canning and cooking.

She is survived by two sons, Randy (Tammie) White, Rick (Lana) White, Atchison, KS, three daughters, Sandy Wilson White, Atchison, KS, Doris Turner, Elizabethton, TN, Carion (George) McConnell, Atchison, KS, two sisters, Gladys Hicks, Selda Wilson, Elizabethton, TN, two daughters-in-law, Joanne White, Donna White, a son-in-law, Lawrence Turner, eighteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Jaunita was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sons, Herbie, Jackie, and Willie White, four grandsons, Michael McConnell, Matthew Wilson, Jamie White, Jeffery McGee and three sisters, Florence Ellis, Mable Birtchfield, and Ida Andes.
