Juanita Gonzales-Raymos

Juanita Gonzales Raymos, 95, a resident of Rialto, California and Atchison, Kansas died Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at Villas Assisted Living and Memory Care in San Bernardino, California.

Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, September 19, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church with Rev. Richard Rocha as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A parish rosary will be recited on Thursday, September 18th at 7:00 P.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8:30 P.M. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mexican Sisters and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Juanita was born January 27, 1919, in Yuhualica, Jalisco, Mexico. The daughter of Julian and Aniceta Rodriguez Gonzales.

Juanita began her working at the age of 16, with Dr. Wayne O. Wallace. She was employed for over 57 years. She also worked at the county home on weekends.

She and John Raymos were united in marriage on December 29, 1977, at St. Joseph's Church in Atchison, Kansas. Mr. Raymos preceded her in death on November 5, 1989.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Church. She was also a member of the Atchison Hospital Auxiliary, and the St. Joseph's Church Altar Society. She truly enjoyed volunteer work.

Survivors include a brother, Lupi (Barbara) Gonzales, Rialto, CA, three sisters, Andrea Contreras, Atchison, KS, Mary Rocha, St. Joseph, MO, and Cecilia (Herbert) Hiner, Atchison, KS, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, Gummie, Gregory, Shorty, Joe, Max, Frank and a sister, Bea Kohler.
