John B. Hollands, Jr., 67, Eldon, Missouri, died Friday, July 24, 2015 at his home.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Alderson Cemetery, Atchison, Kansas. The Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
John was born January 14, 1948 in Atchison, Kansas the son of John B. Hollands, Sr., and Sylvia Gray Hollands. He attended Atchison Elementary schools, graduating from Atchison High School.
He and Madeleine Gocke were united in marriage on June 29, 1968 at St. Ann's Church, Effingham, Kansas. Mrs. Hollands preceded him in death on November 10, 1996.
John served as a truck driver all of his adult working years, the last three years for All About Boats until his retirement.
Survivors include daughter, Kathy Armontrout, Osage Beach, MO, son, Jeff Hollands, Effingham, KS, sister, Janet Hollands, Lake Lotawana, MO, six grandchildren and a great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
