Jerry Stafford

Jerry Stafford, 74, passed away in his sleep on Saturday, May 17, 2025. He was born on May 13, 1951, to Jay and Fern Stafford here in Atchison. He married Mikey Mullins (reluctantly) on May 17, 1980, and they had 44 great years, but he blew it by literally dying on their 45th.

Jerry worked for MoPac/UP Railroad for 34 years, retiring in 2011. He was lucky to have 14 good years of retirement. He was a long-time member of the Elks Club and also a proud member of Bellevue Country Club where he was a very bad golfer but lucky with a high handicap but still donated at a high rate each and every week.

Jerry is survived by his wife Mikey, his dog Stanley who only tolerated him, along with two brothers, too many in-laws as well as a ton of nieces and nephews that he loved as long as they were not seen or heard. Jerry will be missed greatly by his wife, dog and (some) friends

Cremation care has been provided by the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home and no services are planned.
