Jane H. Jochems

Jane H. Jochems was born on October 3, 1922 in Atchison, Kansas. Jane attended high school in Atchison and after graduation, enrolled in St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Kansas City. She graduated as a Registered Nurse then almost immediately started a career as an airline stewardess with TWA Airlines.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Benedict Church, Atchison, Kansas, with Abbot Barnabas Senecal, OSB as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery,
where other members of her family are also buried.
. A visitation with the family will be from 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the church. The Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
On January 22, 1947, Jane married Don F. Jochems. After marriage, she devoted her life to homemaking, raising her children, and many hobbies including antiques, tole-painting and cooking.
CDR & Mrs. Jochems moved to Air Force Village I in 1994 and started a new hobby of traveling the world. Always travelers at heart, The Jochems' spent every January in Hawaii for almost 30 years.
Jane is preceded in death by her husband, CDR Don F. Jochems. She is survived by four children, Judy Plummer of Bedford, PA, Ann Jochems of Freeport, NY, Don Jochems, Jr., of Lawrence, KS., and Nancy Griffiths of Phoenix, AZ., 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons.Guestbook
