James "Jim" L. Murray

James "Jim" L. Murray, 75, Austin, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 29, 2018.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, July 6th at 1pm at Cherokee United Methodist Church in Cherokee, Kansas. There will also be a Memorial service held in Atchison, Kansas on Saturday, July 7th at 3pm at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home, 208 N. 5th Street, Atchison, KS. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.

James was born September 26, 1942 in Cherokee, Kansas the son of William and Pauline Murray. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jean Murray, three children, Timothy Murray, Todd Murray (Katie) and Sherri Knight (Tim) and his grandchildren and five siblings.

Jim worked in Sales for Rockwell International / Arvin Meritor for 40 years until his retirement.

He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, Rotary and the Jaycees.
