Jacqueline "Jackie" Bowen

Jacqueline “Jackie” Bowen, 87, Atchison, Kansas, died Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Mrs. Bowen will be cremated and no services are scheduled. Interment will be at a later date in Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Jackie was born August 7, 1938 in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Clarence “Kitty” Trainer and Jan Roberts Trainer. She attended Atchison Public Schools and attended one year of college.

She and Kenneth L. Bowen were united in marriage on February 14, 1996 in Atchison, Kansas.

Jackie served as a housekeeper and cook at the former St. Francis Academy in Atchison for several years. In her free time she enjoyed painting and making craft items.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth L. Bowen; sons, Mike (Linda) Bowen, Atchison, KS; Pat (Lori) Trainer, Meridan, KS; Tony (Nancy) Brayshaw, Atchison, KS; Randy Powell, Atchison, KS; Skyler Bowen, Atchison, KS; a step-son, James (Tina) Bowen, Lavista, NE; and a step-daughter, Angela (James) Sherwood, Great Falls, MT. and thirteen grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Victor Powell and a brother, Bud Trainer.
