I. Ruth Moeck, 81, Atchison, Kansas died Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the Atchison Hospital.
Family will receive friends on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M. Private family burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society and may be left in care of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.
Ruth was born January 9, 1934 in Halls, Missouri to Vern C. and Amanda B. Frakes Donaldson. She lived and attended schools in Rushville, Missouri.
She married John E. Moeck, Jr., on July 8, 1950 in Troy, Kansas. Mr. Moeck preceded her in death in 1998.
She was of the Christian faith.
Ruth was employed for 37 years at the Atchison Hospital, mostly on the skilled nursing and medical floors, retiring in 1999, but continued doing private duty in homes for the elderly.
Ruth was an avid golfer and bowler. A member of Pineview Country Club where she won the Women's Title in 1996. She was also a member of the Alley Cat League for over forty years and bowled many national tournaments in various states with her dear friends on a traveling team.
Ruth loved her flowers and doing crafts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three brothers, Clinton, Jerry and Thomas Donaldson.
Survivors include two brothers, Robert Donaldson and Fred Donaldson, both of the Rushville, Missouri area, four sons, John W. "Bill" (Karen) Moeck, Gary E. (Annie) Moeck, Robert A. Moeck, Michael G. Moeck, one daughter, Cheri Berry, all of Atchison, KS, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
