Israel A. Briggs, 80, Atchison, Kansas, died Thursday, April 06, 2017, at his residence.
There will be no services by request of Mr. Briggs. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.
Israel was born on April 13, 1936 in Atchison, Kansas, the son of Israel and Pearl V. (Lindsey) Briggs. He attended Lincoln school and graduated from Atchison High School.
He and the former Wanda Weston were united in marriage in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Israel was employed as a chip welder at Bradken.
Israel served in the United States Army from May 31, 1955, until his honorable discharge in October 1957.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Briggs, Atchison, KS, his children, Gordon Wayne Briggs, James Alexander Briggs, Danelle Briggs, Janel Bills, Lorne Weston, daughter-in-law, MoaDonna Weston and a brother Clifford Wayne Briggs.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Felicia K. Briggs.
