Ina C. Flynn, 80, Atchison, Kansas died Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Atchison Medicalodge.
Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Church with Rev. Roderic Giller, OSB as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A parish wake service will be Wednesday, October 23rd at 7:00 P.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8:30 P.M. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Benedict School Endowment or American Cancer Society and may be left in care of the funeral home.
Ina was born December 12,1932, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Charles C. "Bud" and Alma B. Case Davis. She attended Atchison Public Elementary Schools, graduating from Atchison High School.
She and Michael W. "Mick" Flynn were united in marriage on June 19, 1951 at St. Joseph's Church. Mr. Flynn preceded her in death on December 14, 2012.
A homemaker, Ina prided herself in taking care of her family and providing a loving home for them. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren and also served as a babysitter for many other children in her home. Ina and her husband Mick moved to Rolla, Missouri in 1977 returning to Atchison in 1985.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church
Survivors include five children, Sean (Mary) Flynn, Atchison, KS, Jane (Francis) Schneider, Atchison, KS, Todd (Beth) Flynn, Ocoee, FL, Kelly Flynn, Rolla, MO, Kate (Mike) Jones, Rolla, MO, a sister, Penny (Mike) Purslow, Atchison, KS, eleven grandchildren, five step grandchildren, eight step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mick, her parents, Bud and Alma and two daughters, Ann and Sue Flynn.
