Helen Jeanne Kocour Maggard, 80, died surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 9:30 A.M with Mass of Resurrection to follow at 11:00 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Kansas City, Missouri. Memorial contributions are suggested to Mount St. Scholastica.
Helen Jeanne was born December 1, 1931. She graduated from Mount St. Scholastica Academy in Atchison, Kansas and the St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in Kansas City in 1953.
Helen Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Marguerite and Albert Kocour, her son Joseph, and her devoted husband of 54 years. Helen Jeanne spent her last 2 years at Dooley Center at Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison.
Helen Jeanne leaves her children, Tim (Felicia), Pat (Kathy), Maryhelen (Tom), Frank (Joyce), Michelle and Annette (Christopher), all of the Kansas City area, and her sisters, Mary Jo Park of Kansas City, MO, Sister Gabrielle Kocour, OSB, Atchison, KS, her brothers, Bud and wife, Barbara and Bob and wife, Julie of Atchison, 11 grandchildren and many friends.
