Gregg Alan Merritt

Gregg A. Merritt, 64, Kansas City, Missouri died Friday, January 21, 2022 at his residence in Kansas City.

Mr. Merritt has been cremated under the care and direction of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home, Atchison, Kansas. Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Atchison, KS.

Gregg was born April 22, 1957 in Atchison, Kansas the son of Thomas William Merritt, Jr., and Janet Arline Foley Merritt.  He attended elementary schools in Falls City, Nebraska; St. Joseph, Missouri and Atchison, Kansas.

He was employed as an over the road semi-truck driver for numerous trucking companies.

Gregg served with the United States Marine Corp until his honorable discharge.

Survivors include his mother, Jan Merritt, Atchison, KS; a son, Mark B. Merritt, Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Theresa Page, Wyandotte, KS; and Christina, Cape Girardeau, MO; two brothers, Scott Merritt, Atchison, KS; Terry Merritt, Maricopa, AZ; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Gary Merritt and a sister, Gayle Merritt-Wilson.
