Glenda Buster

Glenda L. Buster, 77, Atchison, Kansas, died Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the Amberwell Hospital in Atchison, Kansas.

Graveside services will be Monday, May 8, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Sumner Cemetery in Atchison, Kansas. Memorial contributions are suggested to assist the family with burial expenses and may be left in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.

Glenda was born October 13, 1945, in Smith Center, Kansas, the daughter of Oral and Melba (Sears) Samuelson. Her family moved to Atchison when she was young and she attended Atchison Public Schools.

She and Jimmie Buster, Sr. were united in marriage on May 8, 1972, in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Glenda began working at as a machine operator at Justice Manufacturing in Hiawatha, she was later employed in the printing department at the Atchison Daily Globe. Lastly, she was employed at the Atchison Wal-Mart serving as a stocker.

She enjoyed reading and crocheting, one year she made her sons slippers. Glenda was very creative and enjoyed doing crafts. She loved her morning walks with her dogs in the parks.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Buster, Sr., six sons, Robert Burge, Nelson Burge, Dwight Burge, Patrick Burge, Jimmie (Leslie) Buster, Jr., David (Jody) Buster, and numerous grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and a daughter-in-law, Lisa Burge.
